Introduction

Welcome to Bokbi! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Bokbi’s website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using Bokbi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

About Bokbi

Bokbi is a personal, cross-platform reading tracker built for fandom and web fiction readers. It lets you manually log and organize stories from multiple platforms (such as AO3, Wattpad, MangaDex, Webtoon, Tapas, and others) in your own private library.

Bokbi does not host, display, or provide access to story content. It is a tracking and organisation tool only.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bokbi. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have consent from a parent or guardian.

Account Registration and Security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, and you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Acceptable Use

When using Bokbi, you agree not to violate any applicable law or regulation; not to upload or share unlawful, abusive, or infringing content; not to attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service; and not to use Bokbi to distribute or publicly display copyrighted works without permission.

User Content

You may add story titles, links, tags, notes, and other metadata to your personal library. You retain ownership of your content but grant Bokbi a limited license to store and display it for the purpose of operating the Service. You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you upload.

User-Uploaded Images

Bokbi allows users to personalize their libraries by uploading images, such as custom book covers or icons, to improve their browsing experience. Neutral placeholder images are provided by default, and in the future, premium users may gain access to enhanced options such as animated or GIF covers.

Users are responsible for ensuring that any images they upload do not infringe on the rights of others. Personal libraries are private by default, so using images for private, personal use generally does not raise copyright concerns. However, if you choose to make your profile or library public, you must not upload copyrighted artwork or publisher-provided covers without permission.

Bokbi does not actively monitor every uploaded image but may remove content that is reported or found to be infringing. Users remain solely responsible for the images they add, and Bokbi will provide a takedown process for copyright complaints.

Privacy

Service Availability and Changes

Bokbi is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time. If the Service is ever discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to provide users with a way to export their data.

Intellectual Property

Bokbi’s branding, design, and software are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or use Bokbi’s assets without prior written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bokbi and its creator are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities; damages resulting from use or inability to use the Service; or third-party actions, such as the removal or modification of stories from their original platforms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the latest version. Continued use of Bokbi after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
